M. that the Queen Charlotte, Orion, and the Irreſiſtable, being the advanced S's, boon their Fire wan the Rear cf the Enemy, without ſhortning Sail, having received the Enemy's Fire ſome Time before. At this Period, Eleven Sail of te French Line could bring, ſome their whole Broadfides, others only their Stern Guns, to bear upon the advanced Shipz——Sec Plan No, 1.— About a Quarter of an Hour aftorwards, the Sans Parcil, Rufſel, and Colofſus, were ſuthciently up to Engage. At 20 minutes paſt 6 o'Clock A. M. the Formidable took Fire, and ſur- rend-d, Art a Quarter pat , the Alexander truck her Colour —8ee Plan No. 2, which is about 5 minutes previous to the Time repreſented—At about Halt paſt *, th* R val George cut off the Retreat of the Tigre, which ſtruck her Colours, and the Battle ended=——Scc Plan No. 3.
